Hi I am Junior Francois Valmond and I am 8 years old, I have lived here at the at the orphanage in Carrefoure Haiti for some months now. I am just starting the first grade. I used to live with my mother and my little sister, not to far from the orphanage. My Mom couldn't afford to care of me anymore and so I was on the streets a lot.

My friend Mikerlange Camy is 6 years old. She came to the orphanage in Carrefoure when she was 3. Her mother was very young, she could not take care of her. Mikerlange is now in her third kindergarten class but would rather be in the "real" school. She is a very good friend and an expert on making the other children do what she wants, even though she is one of the youngest children at the orphanage.
